Teen Voices Speak Out! In response to the threatening budget cuts to our young adult library programs and librarians here in Los Angeles, the Los Feliz librarian, Erika Caswell, and I staged a writing workshop at the Los Feliz Library on Tuesday, March 16th where teens wrote stories, essays, poems and created images about what the library means to them. We created a hand-bound book from their work that we presented to the City Council downtown at City Hall on March 24th at a special city budget meeting and made our voices heard! The collection is called Saved By A Hard Cover.
